They’ve made it crystal clear on how they want to conduct transfers and have tried really hard to stop leaks from the club on this. Why? Because at best it makes transfers more difficult and at worst we potentially lose a player and destroy relationships with clubs we might want to business with in future. This is entirely logical and makes sense.
That means there was no point whatsoever asking McKenna about transfers because he is never going to give an answer. The days of Evans and his cretins promising a Unicorn and delivering a deadbeat loan on deadline day are long gone. Hurrah for that. |  | | |
