Prog gig in Sheffield Fri night 15:16 - Sep 11 with 713 viewsFreddies_Ears

Notoriously independent and brilliantly talented, Lifesigns are playing the Corporation in Sheffield Friday. Melodic prog, with hints of Yes, Genesis & Camel. But mostly in their own style. They have had rave reviews, rightly, in the specialist press... (no connection, other than being a fan!)

That's a great venue too!

Well, 3 out of 4 of them - the drummer is out of action for a while.

They have a good sound, elements of many bands - remind me a bit of Steve Wilson's Porcupine Tree in places, not as dark and heavy, obviously.

I have happy memories of Corp from my time in Sheff.

My brother plays there a good bit, so i’ll let him know in case he isn’t already going.

Not aware of them but will give them a listen. Can't deny I hated Prog when I was younger but in recent years have become a bit of a convert, undoubtledy partly fuelled by the excellent Rockenteurs podcast.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

I love Lifesigns. First discovered them about a year ago. Want to get to see them at some point when they come round my way
