Sky money in the Championship 15:42 - Dec 10 with 1197 viewskiwiblue

How much are we likely to get for all these games live on tv around the world this season? Any idea anybody?

Apparently this

“clubs receive an amount for every broadcasted match on Sky Sports, varying between 10,000 and 100,000 pounds. While the away side usually earns £10K, the home team could receive up to £100K depending on the time slot”

not a huge amount is it, compared to ticket sales. 30,000 tickets at an average of say £25 each, the matchday income is around £750k. Sure a lot of that is already banked via s/ts, but kinda makes you think that there should be some push back about silly kick off times.

Poll: would you rather

I'd say the average we get per ticket is closer to £10-15 given the fact a lot of tickets are on season ticket rates which work out to be around £15-20 a game and then the child tickets which are only around a fiver and child season tickets which will be even less. So I reckon it's more like 400-450k per home game realistically maybe even 500k if you add in the ridiculously high prices we charge some clubs to sit in the cobbold.
