So how are we playing this one out? Keep it low key after over doing it in the home fixture? Or take over Norwich like we did in 1985???????

Poll: How are we going to try and undermine the manager today?

Not getting forced onto the Ipswich train rather than the one to Cambridge so I don't have to do a tour of East Anglia would be nice.

I'm driving. Is it vaguely possible for someone at the club to tell the police that due to the geography of the area not everyone who supports Ipswich lives in Ipswich and should not be herded onto a train for Ipswich. I'm actually serious, Phil?

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I actually agree with him! We love our past victories, they love their past participations.

And they’ll always have the Mr Clutch Trophy. Awwww.

I’m looking forward to when we do next beat them of course. But it’s just three points. And we need them as we do from the other seven games. They’re just another participant club.

Definitely low key, take it as just another game as Kieran will.

Stop bigging it up, stop making out it's something special.
It's just another match playing for another 3 points like any other game, and that's how we should approach it.

I am sure that whoever decided to arrange the 'coach meeting reception' at the home game is now having second thoughts because in my opinion and the opinion of other I have talked to, that lost us the win and three precious points.

The players have a routine before matches, especially when they travel to and get to the ground they are focused on the task ahead and this was severely disrupted and distracted that day.

I will be having to socialise with some of them in the summer at a music based event. Last time I drank with them they’d let in 6 at Plymouth the day before and were very down. I didn’t even mention it, and we had a good drink together well into the night. One of them did change his FB pic to celebrating their draw down here though…

I drove the 4 - 0 defeat game a few years back and the police tried to kettle us back to the station.

I was with my wife and kids so a nice policeman did let us through the police line as long as we covered up our colours.

Its all OTT at Norwich as when they come to our place they get a pub and can wander down to the ground at their leisure. I saw plenty of yellow walking about and no trouble and after the game we all merge into one on the way to the station anyway.

For all the hype bout Norwich away its actually one of the worst away day experiences.

In a way it might be better if it ends in a draw giving neither set of fans something to crow about.

Only concern, should we win, is that emotion will get the better our younger fans and they will disgrace the club. Won’t be any Town fans under the age of 30, who as adults, have seen us take all the points from the Budgies.

Hilarious that Norwich fans try to mock about us celebrating our great past achievements, when their only come back is beating us in a league match.

Now they can no longer brag about their attendances, they really are clutching at straws, bless 'em. They will never achieve what we have, even if it was a few decades ago.

I don't live in Ipswich and I've never had a problem making my own way back in my eight visits. In the old days of kettling, a quick word with a friendly policeman worked but, in recent times, you could just subtly mingle with the home fans and make your own way away from the ground.

Hopefully they get overexcited have a bog coach welcome and look like plonkers for celebrating playing us and we end up beating them.
A coach welcome is only appropriate after you have achieved something, or on the last day of the season.

Yes exactly.
That is why the coach welcome for the Norwich home game was ridiculous and deflected the players minds from the game. Stupid idea.

I thought the 15 year thing was irrelevant? The only facts that matter to Ipswich fans surely is winning the old Division One, winning the FA Cup and winning the UEFA Cup? Everything else is of no importance.

Typical Norwich fan, talk about Ipswich history without us doing so. Amazed you idiots haven't clocked onto this yet.

Poll: An interesting day for our politicians, but which one is worse?

Defo low key. If we hype it up it could feed through to the players.

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

In my opinion, and the opinion of others I have spoken with, the game was on the pitch, and the welcome was a fun laugh that fans, particularly the next generation, will remember forever. Thanks.

Agree- was extra pressure on the players and without that we take our chances and win comfortably.
