I'll happily admit that I was long term wrong, but short term right. I expressed serious concerns for a long time over replacing Jim Magilton and replacing Mick McCarthy. It's good to be proved wrong in the long-term, but it's easy to forget what we had to endure for a long time after. MM did a brilliant job under the hideous ownership of Evans.
Be careful what you wish for was spot on. Hirst and Lambert were a sickening downgrade in comparison.
The new ownership and Kieran McKenna are a world away from that nightmare period and something nobody could have predicted would happen, when we were getting outplayed by Northampton, Wimbledon and Cambridge.
