So who could start on negative points? 09:36 - May 12 with 719 viewsLA_Tractor_Boy

We already know that Leicester could start next season on negative points. But who else?

If Everton go into administration, I guess they will do it ASAP so they can take the hit this season.

Obviously Man City are facing these 115 charges, but unless they are relegated will probably still win the league even with a points deduction.

If L*eds are promoted, I think they could be facing a points deduction for outstanding payments of £190m.

And Chelsea could be in trouble if they don't sell players before 30th June.

Is anyone else walking an FFP tightrope?

Haven't they already been punished.

Or are they likely to face more charges next season?

The suggestion is that when their next accounts come out they could be in trouble again, as could Everton!

There seems to be aome suggestion the rules may change so that its a financial penalty rather than a points deduction.

This will allow the super rich clubs to spend what they like.

Even if that happens it would seem unfair if this was to apply retrospectively but we will see.

It’s a rolling 3 years isn’t it - so in theory - if you don’t get your house in order - you could get deductions yearly

My understanding from listening to Kieran Maguire, is that PL clubs would need to vote in favour of a financial penalty. And surely no clubs outside the big six/seven would for the reasons you've said.

Also the big clubs would then fail UEFA's rules, so wouldn't be eligible to play in the Champions League/Europa League.

It's complicated!

Well as everton and forest have shown its not just a big six issue.

Plus the league feels to stay the best in the world where saudis want to invest etc, they need to be allowed to flex their financial muscles.
