They have the sixth highest wage bill in the championship which means that they will need to offload a fair few players in order to bring it down. Unfortunately for them, a fair few of their over 30yo players have another season left (at least) on their contracts. I doubt whether many clubs will match their wages.
They’ll be left with an aging squad. Whoever has been in charge of their transfer policy as well as contract negotiations could well have screwed them.
