Everything points in that direction.... I think it would take a remarkable upturn in form, or an extraordinary outpouring of love from the fans to persuade him to stay. Not sure either is very likely, so everything points to a parting of the ways. Hopefully that gives ME a good chunk of time to find a sensible replacement. Mick can stand aside once we are mathematically safe. There is a good period to plan the squad for next season. Worst case, Mick is a dead man walking, can't motivate the squad and there is a slow drift to the end of the season. We float dangerously close to relegation and/or move into the summer and next season with no momentum at all having to build an entirely new team. | |
