The number of tories who put in their twopenneth yesterday all with different ideas show just how bad this really is. And, it was kept very low key that despite all the tory brewha, Mr Davis has agreed 100% with the EU agenda & schedule. I am waiting to see if the Brexiteeers understand what that means
Brexit muddled thinking on 10:55 - Jun 19 with 3354 views | Swansea_Blue | I don't see the problem with people having different views, that's always going to be the way. If anything it highlights the need for wide consultation and sound decision making, ideally free of politicking. Whilst I acknowledge the government the mandate to undertake the negotiations, I think it would be sensible to have cross-party input into this. We have informal all-party parliamentary groups for all kinds of topics, and this is so important that imo it would be sensible to formalise something along those lines for brexit.

eIt was quietly mentioned, rather than rported or a real news item, over the week-end, Mr Davis had accepted the EU schedule for the commencement of negotiations. However Mr davis on the lunchtime news said something different & the reporter laid out the sticking points which it was said had been agreed on Friday. It is worse than a mess

There was quite a bit about it on R4 to be fair. I'm still of the belief that it shouldn't be May, Corbyn or anybody with party points to consider having these discussions. We are stuck with it, we're going to take a kicking, let's at least let people who genuinely just want the best deal and no other considerations look after it.

Maybe we should all vote on who these people representing us in the discussions should be.

sounds like they've already set the price of staying: no more rebate and no more exlusion from the Euro. Thanks again brexiters.

That's their starting position, as articulated by Guy Verhofstadt. He's playing bad cop. The French and Germans would make sure there was no barrier to us coming back if it was at all possible. Macron is playing good cop. May could even present it as a triumph of her negotiating skills if she "won" the rebate back through her "tough" approach. Macron's stock would rise considerably if his sensible, non-confrontational approach led to the EU staying together. It's a Win-Win.

Nope, as basically it is not going to happen the plan all along was to drag it out, take the heat out of the Leave vote then pull the plug it needs a bit more - such as letting folk see the real horrors that are involved first the election that was supposed to be about brexit ... it was not voters are no longer interested, I think many know they were lied to, that it was no more than an internal Tory party squabble, which it still is now the real question is when Article 50 will be withdrawn and by who ?
