So for their 3 extra seasons in the top flight, since football began, after next seasons parachute payment that lot up the road would have had £323,000,000 more than us in prize money.

Poll: Your favourite thing about THAT goal?

Yep. Hull's 5 seasons worth over £300m more than us for same number of seasons in PL

Blackburn on £407.4m and look where they are now!

If only Marcus Evans could see what getting to the Premier League would do for us.

Interesting yes, but it provides little real insght without comparatives on outgoings.

What percentage of their income are those clubs spending on their wage bill.

With Wayne Rooney on £300,000 a week I would guess quite a bit!

Graphic with outgoings and profit would be handy, given that Pompey went out of business, many others [including us] have found themselves in administration.

Debt is unsustainable and small businesses tend to get hurt the worst. FFP rules should insist on break even then maybe we see sanity return in the wacky world of wages.

Well i know Sunderland lost £200m on their recent 9 year stay.

I know the graphic doesn't tell the whole story, but it showed how much money is given to clubs on a short stint, compared to when we were there.

Burnley have had three seasons in the Prem, relegated in two of them and just about survived this time around and they've taken more than six times as much prize money as us as a result. We were in the league at the wrong time.
