1. Change units to Fahrenheit, bigger numbers sound hotter
2. Find normally hot place that is having a cool day.
3. Compare it to Britain
4. Write headline

"Britain smoulders in 68 degree heat, hotter than Sydney"

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.

Have been in Verona where it's mid 30s and people still sip beer and espresso in the side streets in effortless style. Came back to Britain and everyone has their shirts off demonstrating their dangerous sunburn as a badge of honour. It's hot - wear sun cream, a hat, go in the shade occasionally, drink water and keep some clothes on.

The sun is extremely dangerous if you're unprepared. It's a shame people have to literally get burnt before taking the right precautions.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

The problem in this country is not the heat its the humidity.

I remember circa 10 years ago being in Alice Springs and it was 43 degrees and felt lovely, because it was almost 0% humidity. With our humidity anything above 27 degrees is not nice.
