When you have pig sitting on the bench it's not surprising to see people discussing Bonne and his misses. Afterall if Bonne is to play every game no matter what form he's in then what's the point I'm bringing in Piggott.
Now. No I wouldn't drop him at the moment. But he's not undroppable

100%. What I noticed, and I wonder if OP was thinking similar, was the ‘ah well, let’s not forget Bonne is actually rubbish’ tone out there. Small, slight, but detectable!
To reiterate, just think it’s quite silly and amusing. But a reminder that a scapegoat could appear where you least expect it

I guess it's a difficult discussion to have.
For example Penney rightly discussed in regards to his performance.
Bonne too can be discussed for missing 2 sitters. Which is his Job. Doesn't mean he's a scapegoat it's just his job is to score and he failed.

You could definitely criticise him for that first miss, incredible really 6 yards out with only an off balance defender on the line. He has had a few bad misses but he has a huge amount in the bank for his performances this season, amazing. That said the pig deserves a chance at some point.

I’m going to take off my blue tinted spectacles for a minute and be honest, he’s missed quite a few already this season. Not half chances, but bloody good ones and at crucial times in games. There’s no doubt he’s had a positive impact so far and I’m still very pleased we signed him on loan, however I suppose the positive is at least he’s in the position to miss those chances but it’s still frustrating because the outcome of games could’ve been so different.

Yes what you say is true but strikers always miss some chances and dont forget he has stolen us a couple of goals at least . For me we need Burns back and playing as these two seem to have forged an understanding .

Bonne and Burns have what Wykes and erm Mcgeady? ( who ever that fella is who had 25 odd assists) had at Sunderland. You almost wait for bonne to score when Burns gets past his man and about to deliver.
If everyone playing for us had Bonnes attitude and commitment we’d be in the top 5. Bonne, Chaplin and Burns are the standouts from the masses that came in. Donacien has been superb also. The rest for me are playing at their level here and that’s part of the problem.
