Dyer was right. Humphreys is a baller. 17:45 - Jan 7 with 3141 views | cbower | Growing in stature all the time. Brenner said he's like a mixture of Downes and Dozzell. Nice left foot and good technically with tenacity too. Enjoy him while you can Town fans. He's destined for the top flight at some time. Hope it's with ITFC.

He's a phenomenal talent and will play in the Premier League without a doubt, he's got everything - tenacity, range of passing, great engine, can finish and mature well beyond his years.

Best since Dyer and Ambrose. Looks more mature than Downes. Not knocking Flynn, wrong time for him with the club in a mess. But Humphreys looks soooo classy for his age.

Dyer was right. Humphreys is a baller. on 18:06 - Jan 7 with 2786 views | Arthur_Hayes | He’s a class player with great composure, an eye for a pass, and is now popping up with a few goals. His overall game, and stature, reminds me of David Silva, and if he can achieve half of what Silva did in his career we’ll all be very happy.
Dyer was right. Humphreys is a baller. on 18:14 - Jan 7 with 2710 views | homer_123 | I hate comparisons like this, though I understand why. He's Cam Humphreys and he's making a case for a regular first team berth. You know I love about the way he plays? His recycling of the ball is superb and, like all of our players, he wants that ball...he wants to play.

Indeed. Agree with all that. Think the mental aspect is almost his best quality. I hadn’t heard him speak until yesterday’s post-match interview on the radio but his focus and desire to learn/understand the game and his role in it seem to be spot on – and better than the vast majority of senior pros. Re: his game and comparisons, he’s an all-rounder so can do a job as an Iniesta, a Xavi or a Busquets (and even drop to left back like Alba). I like his own description of himself as an “energetic midfielder” but it will be interesting to see his role when he’s not just a squad player supporting a system but when he becomes one of the major players in a team and who the system is largely built around. That could be even as soon as next year if we get promoted. He’s one of the players who technically and mentally looks most capable of the step up to the Championship. That’s also the big concern – that we’re not going to develop the team and its league status fast enough to match his progress and ceiling. Ditto matching the progress and ceiling of McKenna or another standout player like Davis. We can’t waste time if we’re going to keep our best assets and build a team around them. And it would be a real shame if Humphreys becomes our next Dyer and is sold to help keep the rest of the team building going. Nice problem to have though.

Dyer was right. Humphreys is a baller. on 09:37 - Jan 8 with 1775 views | BloomBlue | What I like about him is that he's vocal. Not afraid to shout/motive, even in a recent league gave he was happy to give Morsey an ear full because he didn't play the ball out to the right where we had players in space. Too many players simply just play, clap occasionally and don't try and motive, a future captain of the team. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Go away and crawl under your rock. You suck all the enjoyment out of football.
Dyer was right. Humphreys is a baller. on 11:40 - Jan 8 with 1438 views | Chrisd | Listening to his interview after the games, he's got an old head on young shoulders too. This lad is only going to get better, let's hope that's with us rather than with another club that reaps the benefits of his ability.

The fact you called him ‘dud’ confirms my longstanding suspicion That you are in fact Mick Dennis, the same guy who runs the Canaries Caption it Twitter account. Off you trot

Dyer was right. Humphreys is a baller. on 12:10 - Jan 8 with 1286 views | jayessess | Thought that was his most impressive performance so far, especially given the opposition and a rather indifferent performance from Evans. He's had is sticky moments, but is visibly getting better and better. Showed a lot of composure in front of goal last two games as well, something we aren't blessed with a lot of!

Irrelevant to the topic. And a nasty comment based on no evidence. Just unnecessary. This is an excellent, thoughtful thread about an exciting home grown talent. Your attempt to ruin it will not work
