Contrary to the popular notion that Derby’s “goal” was disallowed for no reason at all I have seen a clear camera angle on there own tv channel which clearly shows there number 15 using two hands to push burgess out of the way as the corner is taken , you can also see the whistle going to the refs mouth to blow up before the ball even hit the net , it was a foul that sometimes you would get and sometimes you wouldn’t however we are due a 50-50 decision to go our way , if this has already been pointed out apologises I haven’t gone back through posts to check |  | | |  |

If you watch it on Town in five, you can see the ref is looking right at the foul. Their player doesn't even celebrate as he sees the ref is giving the foul and he doesn't complain either.
The assistant should have ruled it out for offside had the foul not been given but it didn't need him to.
Warne's comment in his post-match interview that the assistant referee apologised for getting it wrong is a disgraceful slur in an attempt to draw away criticism of himself over the defeat. The foul was also in keeping with Derby's tactics throughout where their game plan appeared to be to kick us off the park. |  |
