Away from the footy for a moment.

The footage of the solar eclipse is incredible.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

I’m sure I’m in the minority here, but an eclipse has to be the least interesting thing imaginable. Can’t fathom people staring at the sun with their little glasses on to get a view of the moon briefly blocking it. It’s the equivalent at looking at a digital clock and waiting for 22:22 or something. What am I missing?

just experienced it here in southern Ontario - second time (last in '99 in Turkey), forgot how weird it is, and how cold it gets, and that unless it's 100% you'd almost not notice, but when it does with the sunburst effects it's pretty phenomenal

Wife and daughter picked this week to go to New York and had no idea about the eclipse.

Now just sent me a photo of a dark sky and bright orange segment of sun.
