The Club is rotten to the core at present and it lies with Evans. His apathy filters down to all levels within the club and we see it on the pitch. There's no pride being shown by the players because they know there'll be no consequence for a poor performance. McCarthey is just going through the motions.

Evans should be seething to see his brand being embarrassed in front of a global audience. History appears to tell us there will be no reaction.

I find it hard to believe that Evans runs his other businesses in this way, but I've never worked for him, so that's speculation on my part.

I'd like to think tonight is a watershed, but I fear it won't.
