Quite looking forward to Saturday 10:02 - Feb 8 with 985 viewsDisco_Inferno

Strange though it may seem I am actually looking forward to an away game this season.

It doesn't make any sense as we have score 10 goals away all season and Villa are unbeaten at home (and don't concede many) - yet I have a bizarre feeling we might pull something out of the bag. Reasons being:
1 - Tom Lawrence
2 - There appears to be no chance of both Skuse and Douglas starting
3 - We may have proper full/wing backs
4 - Villa aren't all that

Anyone else going - haven't been to Villa since the 2-1 defeat in the George Burley relegation season?

This will be my first return since the 2-1 win a few days after the semi. Think it's changed a bit

I have been since then but that was the last time I saw us win there, not sure if it was actually our last win there.

I don't think we've beaten Villa home or away in any competition since at least 1994 - not sure how long that record stretches back to before that though.

Anything's possible - gonna be an interesting team selection. 8-0 by the under 23s isn't to be sniffed at but the first team performed well without winning on Saturday. Can see Moore getting a good half hour, be good to see Bishop involved again as well.

Sorry to dampen your spirit... but I'm going Saturday

1 - I have not seen us score a goal yet this season
2 - I have never seen us get a positive result at Villa Park in 4 visits there

time for the trend to end then me thinks

COYB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last win at Villa Park was 1-0 in the Prem in 1994. Gavin Johnson. Think we're due!

Yes,I looked up the head to head record after making my post.
I think we have won there twice(so far) since 1981 although not a huge amount of games in that time.
I went there for a game in the Prem and also the F.A. Cup game.

Same. Also going and also excited for it.

I've not been either since that season. I remember getting rained on in that corner of the ground watching Scowcroft and Armstrong look like the most immobile and out of their depth Premier League strike force.
