Quite long but a good read about the challenges of becoming a pro footballer, talks to two players who started together.

I'll confess I didn't realise who the one that 'made it' was until I got to the end of the article, no mention of Ipswich hospital strangely though.

That is an excellent article.

It always seems that, given a certain amount of talent, most of it is in the head, (and avoiding serious injuries).

I still think that the one who made it could have got back to the highest level. He would not have looked out of place in a mid-table Premiership team.
