No need to worry about the financial aspect of that deal, I'd expect. It would more come down to the balance of our squad (if we go up) and the player's appetite to essentially see out his days in L1 (if we don't). He is class and I suspect we sign him up either way, although I'm not completely sure a CM partnership in their thirties would carry us as far up the Championship as we'd want so he'd probably have to be happy with a squad role.
