Academy striker Paul Murphy has been called up to the Republic of Ireland U16 squad for two friendlies in France later this month. Murphy scored in the U16 side's last outing, a 2-2 draw in Croatia.

Murphy, who can also play on the wing, joined the academy in the summer after a year with Dublin club Home Farm, where Owen Garvan's father is a coach. Prior to that he was with his local club Wexford Albion.
