Town boss Jim Magilton is forced to make changes to his midfield and defence for Saturday's home game with Burnley. Simon Walton and Dan Harding both miss out through suspension, but key midfielder Sylvain Legwinski returns after his one-match ban.

Harding is out for one match having reached five bookings at Barnsley a week ago, while Walton also misses a single game after receiving a red card are Derby on Wednesday.

Magilton, who failed to get an explanation from referee Ray Lee why similar action wasn't taken against Rams skipper Michael Johnson when he spoke to him after the game, says Walton must curb his impetuosity: "Simon was banging on my door at 8.30 on Thursday morning to apologise and that shows a lot of character in the boy.

"He's a great kid, but he has to eradicate that rashness and silliness in his game. He's got to learn from what went on at Derby.

"He won't get away with it in the Premiership with Charlton and he won't get away with it here either."

Lewis Price will continue in goal for the Blues with Shane Supple once again on the bench, short-term signing Jaroslav Drobný having left the club.

At the back, Magilton will probably stick with using Alex Bruce at right-back with Richard Naylor continuing at centre-half. Fabian Wilnis is over his hamstring problem and will be on the bench. With Harding missing at left-back, Matt Richards is likely to drop back from midfield with Scott Barron on the bench as cover.

Gary Roberts will move to the left with Gavin Williams likely to make his first start since his groin operation on the right. The Welshman looked lively when used as a late sub at Derby.

Owen Garvan is set to continue in the centre of the midfield with Sylvain Legwinski returning in place of Walton. The Legwinski-Garvan pairing would arguably be Magilton's favoured central midfield once the Irishman is fully match fit after his long spell on the sidelines with illness.

Billy Clarke's ankle came through the Derby game unscathed and the Irishman will continue alongside Alan Lee, despite the former Burnley striker suffering with a groin strain. Lee, booked for the fifth time this season at Pride Park, is suspended for next week's game at another of his former clubs Cardiff.

Burnley will be without striker Andy Gray, who picked up a foot problem in the Clarets' 2-1 victory over Leeds on Tuesday. A scan has revealed that the former Sheffield United man has fractured three metatarsals and as a result will be out of action until February.

Boss Steve Cotterill is disappointed to be without his 10-goal top scorer for such a lengthy period: "It is obviously a blow to lose Andy as he has been in exceptional form since he came to the club. He is a terrific team player and he will obviously be missed.

"However, it gives an exciting opportunity to a young, hungry and exciting prospect in Kyle Lafferty - and every cloud has a silver lining; ie: we won't be selling Andy in the transfer window!"

Wales international keeper Danny Coyne is back after a serious knee injury and is likely get the nod ahead of Dane Brian Jensen.

The Clarets, who beat the Blues 1-0 via one of Town's trademark last minute goals at Turf Moor early in November, last won at Portman Road in January 1970.

Saturday's referee is Keith Hill from Hertfordshire who has shown 52 yellow and two red cards in 14 games so far this season. Hill's last Town game was the Carling Cup defeat to Peterborough United at London Road in August in which he booked Chris Casement, Danny Haynes, Alex Bruce and Richard Naylor.
