Lee: I'm Staying

Town top scorer Alan Lee says he will be staying with the Blues, despite speculation that he might move on over the summer. The Irishman scored the goal which effectively relegated Leeds United to League One at the weekend.

Lee says he is happy at Town: “It is no secret that I love it at Ipswich.

“I have no intention of moving and please God I will stay.

“Sometimes things do get out of your own control, but I want to play in the Premiership with Ipswich.”

Lee, who cost £100,000 from Cardiff City in January 2006, has another year remaining on his Town contract.

Meanwhile, former Blue Gary Croft has been released by Grimsby Town. Croft, 33, rejoined the Mariners from Cardiff in 2005.
