West Ham say police are yet to receive a formal complaint regarding the incident in which Craig Bellamy is alleged to have abused fans in the family enclosure last night. Bellamy reacted angrily to supporters after picking up an injury in the first half of his side's 5-3 win.

A West Ham spokesman said: "I have spoken to the police and they have told me that no complaint has been received.

Suffolk Constabulary spokesperson concurred: "No formal complaints have been received by either Suffolk police or Ipswich Town.

"However, if any member of the public witnessed an incident at the Ipswich Town versus West Ham match at Portman Road on Monday, they should contact PC Marc Norman, the football intelligence officer, on 01473 613500."
