Bermudian international Reggie Lambe says he is looking to get on the scoresheet when the U18s take on Arsenal at Playford Road on Saturday morning (KO 11am).

Lambe said: "They are always tough to play against, they're like the first team - they keep the ball a lot. We beat them both times last season so they'll be looking to come and get a result."

Capped nine times at international level, scoring all of his four goals against St Martin in September, midfielder Lambe says that with Ronan Murray away with the Republic of Ireland U18s at present he could play up front on Saturday: "I have become a bit more clinical in front of goal this year. I just want to score every game basically.

"Our main striker is away playing for Ireland at the weekend and I've been playing up front in training. I still prefer cutting in from the wing, but I think I can have an impact as a striker as well.”

Lambe, 17, says he has until May to secure his long-term future with the Blues: "Basically I've got till the end of the season but if they believe I've been consistent enough they may offer me a deal before then.

"It's very important to take the consistency I have shown with the U18s to the reserves to show that I can be just as influential in a senior environment.

"I've been pleased with the way I've been playing, but it's all down to what the coaches believe."
