Richards Keen on Permanent Brighton Switch Thursday, 1st Jan 2009 10:36 Matt Richards says he hopes Saturday's game for Brighton against Northampton isn't his final appearance for his loan club. Richards's latest spell with the Seagulls is up after the Cobblers game. The Town academy product says he wants to get a permanent move sorted in January with Brighton his preferred option: "I love playing here so hopefully it won't be the last time. I hope to have something sorted before Saturday. "If I go back to Ipswich and I'm not doing anything there, I don't want to be in limbo again. I want my future sorted out. "This is the final year of my contract at Ipswich, so I ideally want to sort something permanent.†Richards has now made 65 appearances for Albion across three loan spells, scoring twice. Coincidentally, another of Town's loan players might make his first appearance for his temporary club against Richards on Saturday. Northampton boss Stuart Gray has hinted that young left-back Kurt Robinson, whose spell with the Cobblers is up after the weekend, could make his debut at the Withdean Stadium. Meanwhile, new assistant boss John Gorman has outlined his reasons for wanting to return to Town earlier this week: "I lost my desire for the game but I have totally got that back now, although I doubt I would have come back for any other club. "I was impressed with what Jim had to say and what he is going at Ipswich. I have always liked the way Ipswich play and, if anything, the facilities are even more wonderful than I remember them first time round.â€Â
