Club captain Richard Naylor has joined loan club Leeds United in a free transfer, ending a 15-year stay with the Blues. Naylor has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the side he supported as a boy.

The 31-year-old started his Town career as a striker, but after scoring in the 2000 play-off final at Wembley, spent the latter years of his career as a central defender.

Naylor made 261 starts for the Blues and a record 121 sub appearances, scoring 41 goals.
