Former Southampton and West Ham defender Richard Hall was one of the two academy coaches made redundant by the club earlier this month. Sean Thacker, who previously coached the Ipswich Town ladies side, was the other.

Former Kesgrave High School pupil and lifelong Town fan Hall, Thacker, another academy coach Gerard Nash and reserves boss Chris Kiwomya are believed to have been asked to apply for two full-time positions with Nash and Kiwomya staying on.

The departures are part of a review which also saw Tony Humes leave the club and Sammy Morgan take over his role as academy manager.
