Clarke Makes Debut for Brentford

Billy Clarke made his Brentford debut and Liam Trotter his first Scunthorpe start in a full lower league programme on Saturday afternoon.

Clarke started and played the first 74 minutes for Brentford as the League Two leaders were held to a 1-1 draw by Gillingham.

Trotter, who extended his loan with the Iron until the end of the season earlier in the week, started for the first time and helped his temporary side to a 3-0 victory over Colchester United.

Keeper Shane Supple is still waiting for the first win and first clean sheet of his Oldham loan as Leyton Orient came from behind to beat the Latics 2-1 at Brisbane Road.

Supple was sent the wrong way from a controversial Scott McGleish penalty before a late strike from Jason Demetriou took the points.

Supple, who is out of contract with Town in June, was watched closely by former Town and current Preston North End keeper-coach Andy Rhodes during the warm-up and throughout the game. The Republic of Ireland U21 international is with Oldham until the end of the season.

Chris Casement played the first 79 minutes for Wycombe as the Chairboys drew 1-1 at home to Shrewsbury. Casement now joins up with the Northern Irish U21 squad ahead of their friendly with Ukraine on Tuesday.

Kurt Robinson played the full 90 minutes for Rushden as they lost 4-2 at Northwich Victoria. Jai Reason and Cambridge face Woking away on Monday (Setanta Sports One, 7.30pm).
