Town defender Fabian Wilnis has learned that Dutch manager Louis Van Gaal is considering him for an international call. The ex-De Graafschap man has never won a cap at any level and the news comes out of the blue.

Wilnis started the season like a man on fire, but by the end had injury problems and also found it hard to get in the side once Chris Makin had been signed.

The Dutch manager told Fab's agent that he will be watching the 30-year-old when the new season begins in August. The player himself said: "I’ve never got a cap of any description. Perhaps there’s still time."

Fellow Dutchman Martijn Reuser will also be looking to next season to add to his one Dutch cap. Reuser played in a 0-0 draw with Ghana when a Vitesse Arnhem player.

The new look site is now up and running, but as always with things like this there are one or two teething problems. If you are using the site and have an error message or you think something isn't working properly please mail us and we'll get it sorted out.
