Boss Roy Keane has thanked the seven released players for their efforts while at Portman Road. Earlier today, Town announced that Iván Campo, Tommy Miller, Dean Bowditch, Jai Reason, Billy Clarke, Kurt Robinson and Chris Casement will leave the club when their contracts are up in the summer.

Keane told the club site that making his decisions on the 13 out of contract players hasn't been easy: "It's been a difficult time over the last two days and without doubt it's the hardest part of my job, letting players go.

"Whether you are releasing an experienced player who is coming to the end of his career like Iván Campo, who has been a great servant to football and hopefully will continue to play, or the younger players, who are starting their careers, it's not easy.

"Hopefully, I've made the right decisions but I want to wish all the players well because they have given their best for the football club."

The Blues are in talks regarding new deals with Alex Bruce, Shane Supple and Ed Upson, while the Town boss is yet to speak with Matt Richards and on-loan duo Liam Trotter and Dan Harding regarding their futures.
