Dutch Winger Set for Trial
Dutch Winger Set for Trial

Town are set to give a trial to Dutch winger Rawley Rozendaal during pre-season training. The 21-year-old previously spent time with the Blues at the end of last season and did enough to win a second spell at Playford Road.

Rozendaal came through the youth system at Ajax and joined Heerenveen in 2005, where he played alongside Pim Balkestein in their U21 side.

Last summer he moved on to SV Argon, who play in the Sunday Hoofdklasse A division, which is one of six regionalised leagues at the third tier of Dutch football.

Capped at U15, U16, U17 and U18 level by Holland, 5ft 5in tall Rozendaal can play on either flank but is naturally right footed.

Meanwhile, former Town loanee Moritz Volz has been released by Fulham. The German spent last season at Portman Road.

Darren Ambrose, who was also on loan with the Blues last season, has completed his free transfer move from Charlton to Crystal Palace.

Released Town academy schoolboy Nathan Ralph has been offered a scholarship by Championship new boys Peterborough United.

Elsewhere, Marcus Evans's horse Suffolk Punch was the 9-1 winner of last night's 6.50 at Epsom, the Blues' chairman's first victory as a racehorse owner.
