Hassan Kachloul's agent has declared a 5pm today deadline for clubs to make their interest known in the Moroccan international. Town, Celtic, Villa and Derby are already in the running for the player, available on a Bosman.

Agent Eric Castagnino said: "There will be no move today but we want to hear from clubs this afternoon. We would like to give our answer to clubs today and they should make a move soon. We have not heard anything from Celtic but we must have a decision from clubs by 5pm."

Although Celtic have made no official approach interest was declared by Martin O'Neill when he met the Moroccan recently, Kachloul: "I have spoken to Celtic and I recently met Martin O'Neill at an hotel outside London. Celtic approached me last week and their interest has really given me something to think about."

George Burley has already imposed his own end of this week deadline for the player to make his decision. With Kachloul's agent seeming equally keen to speed things up we may hear as soon as tomorrow whether George Burley has landed Kachloul at the third attempt.
