Town find themselves £250,000 to the good today after agreeing a stand sponsorship deal with the Britannia Building Society. The West Stand (formerly the Pioneer Stand and before that the West Stand) will from now on be known as the Britannia Stand. Commercial Director, Paul Clouting said: "I am delighted to announce the long term sponsorship (minimum five years). We chose Britannia because of their regional strength, strong brand name, good reputation, their willingness to create a strong working partnership with the Football Club and because no one else was prepared to stump up the cash." That last bit isn't entirely true.

Latest Dyer news is that nothing what so ever has happened. According to David Sheepshanks Town haven't set a value of £7 million on the player and no-one has offered £5 million. The only newspaper reported link at the moment is with West Ham as mentioned the other day.

He also so added that there is no rift between Richard Wright and the club and that the goalkeeper is still on holiday. The club hasn't received an answer regarding the new contract, despite what Jonathan Barnett, Wright's agent is saying. Rip-roaring stuff, may the close season transfer excitement continue.

Still no confirmation of Bobby Petta's move to Celtic or anywhere else for that matter.

Clyde Wijnhard, reportedly offered to Town by Leeds in a cash plus player deal for Dyer has gone to Huddersfield.

Alex Mathie is set to join Tranmere. Poor sod.
