Trialist Nets as Reserves Draw at Lowestoft Saturday, 1st Aug 2009 22:16 Town's reserves drew 1-1 at Lowestoft on Saturday afternoon, with Dutch trialist Rawley Rozendaal netting the Blues' goal. As at Chelmsford on Wednesday, Town again included trialists Matt Carlisle at left-back, Rozendaal on the wing and Alex Muñoz, who started up front before dropping into a midfield role as the match progressed.
Muñoz, who was also in the side which played at Chelmsford on Wednesday, is a 20-year-old Honduran midfielder or striker, who plays with Real España in his home country.
Summer signings Troy Brown and Shane O'Connor also began the game. Midfielder David Cawley had the game's first real effort on goal which the Lowestoft keeper gathered at the second attempt.
On a hard surface, Town attempted to play as much football as they could and they took the lead on 41 through trialist Rozendaal, who headed past the keeper from an O'Connor cross.
The hosts came more into the match during the second period and Ian McLoughlin made some impressive saves in the Town goal throughout the half.
However, Lowestoft grabbed an equaliser and completed the scoring on 72 when Richard Woodrow scored.
