Quinn: It Will Take Time
Quinn: It Will Take Time
Wednesday, 16th Sep 2009 16:26

Midfielder Alan Quinn says it will take time for Town’s squad to gel but is confident that the Blues will climb the Championship table. The Irishman made his first league start of the season in last night’s 1-1 home draw with Nottingham Forest.

Quinn told the club site: "We had a great start and had other chances to have got a second goal which I'm sure would have been enough to win the game.

"But Dele Adebola came on and gave them a different outlet and in the end it was probably a fair result.

"We are obviously disappointed not to have won the game but we've got to stick together and that first win will come, and after it does we will be OK.

"The manager has brought some quality players to the club but it's going to take time for things to gel. You can see the ability that players like Grant and Carlos have though, and we're confident we can turn results around and climb up the table very soon."

I know McAuley made a dreadful mistake, but in all fairness was he that bad last night? And people i think need to realise how good Delaney is IMO, not once did that right winger get past him, and he whipped in some decent balls, just Stead just won't seem to head them.

Firstly people saying that Quinn is looking good shows how far we have gone backwards as last year he looked dreadful in a better team and everyone wanted to get rid of him RK included a few weeks back !!
And pickles slating David Johnson is riduclous as he scored a lot of goals for us and is exactly what we have been missing for a number of seasons ,commenting about being bottom of the league is not whining it is concern rather than following with blind belief that we deserve to be higher because RK was a good player and we had a good spell in the 70's and 80's !!! Wake up we are in turmoil and big trouble

Jimmy86 - good question, but don't know!I thought he was one of our better players from last season, but maybe there is something going on that we don't know about ...

Lol, on the Earnshaw idea. Might need a bit of work to undo that whole 'alien' thing we got going with him!
