Town target Andy Marshall is biding his time before he decides which club he is going to join. The ex-Norwich player is available on a Bosman and has a number of clubs after him including Town who have offered him a contract.

Marshall said: "Ipswich are interested in me and I’m certainly very interested in them. But at the moment I’m keeping my options open as other clubs are interested. It would not be right to say who they are."

Blackburn and Bolton have both been linked with moves for the keeper who made two U21 appearances for England.

The keeper says he has a lot of respect for people at Town: "I have to admit that there is a massive pull towards Ipswich. I have so much respect for George Burley and goalkeeper coach Malcolm Webster used to be my coach at Carrow Road. In many ways Malcolm’s help and advice turned my career around. I know so many people at Ipswich and even trained there for a while last season. I’ve been to speak with George Burley and he understands that I’ve other people to speak to. He has put no pressure on me to make my mind up and I will weigh things up. But there is certainly such a big pull towards Ipswich and what they achieved last season has to be a huge factor."

Marshall hopes he won't get a bad reception from fans should he join the Blues: "If I do come I just hope it doesn’t have a bad affect on the fans. I hope they will give me a chance to prove myself. The supporters have great respect for George Burley and this is partly due to the signings he has made. Hopefully the fact I have come from Norwich will make no difference. I will be a George Burley signing and that will be the main thing."

In TWTD's current frontpage poll 70% of fans feel they can accept former Canary Marshall into the fold. Marshall says he will make his decision based on footballing matters rather than money, which will make a bit of a change from previous Town targets.
