Keane Thanks Fans
Keane Thanks Fans

Boss Roy Keane has thanked fans for the reception they gave his players after last night’s 1-1 draw with Watford. Despite conceding another late goal and taking the winless run to 13 games, the Portman Road faithful applauded the side off the field.

Keane told the club site: "I think the reception the players got says something about the performance, but it's also a reflection on the supporters at this club.

"I've said many times that it's easy to support your team when you are winning every week but when you are on a run that we are on - and we're not proud of it - for the fans to applaud the players off it gives us some hope.

"Maybe people outside the club say it's a crisis and results-wise it is, but the spirit and desire are there and the support from the fans is there for everyone to see, and that is much appreciated.

"We're bitterly disappointed not to have got the win and bitterly disappointed to be where we are.

"I've told the players that we have got to keep going, keep believing in what we're doing, but there is no doubt we face a massive test. It's a test that we have stand up to."

what a load of rubbish! Richard Wright got player of the season last year simply because he was the only regular in the team!!!!
Lets face it hes been dropped because of his form, which has been awful, even in the first game against coventry he was all over the place, get rid in my opinion.
Anyway lets just hope last night was the beginning of the turn to good form, unfortunately a game is never won at 1-0 and we must move on and learn how to kill teams off before the 90 mins, come on Roy we're all behind you boy!!!

"We still believe"

you are all stark raving mad!

If it was anyone else apart form the oh so successful Keane the lot of you would have been calling for his head. People say there is no passion at the club and that all the so called "boo boys" should stop attending games. Big clubs would not stand for 13 winless games.

May I point out Keane walked out of his last club when.... oh yes they weren't doing to well in the prem.

For once stop being placid suffolk folk and start demanding a change! NO more "the win is comming" we NEED a series of WINS NOW to chnage things around and it starts at the top by getting rid of a useless ex Irish international! (after all the Irish did build the Titanic :-) )

callumgarryskeemer, you will be such a bad distant memory before to much longer.
itfcboi, because superdim left this club in such a bad state from top to bottom it will take time for Roy to suceed.
naaridge1coly7, spot on. Ever since wrighty played for town he has never been able to deal with crosses or command his area however he is still one of the best shot stoppers in the country.
In Keano we trust.
