for everyone who has ripped colin healy and keane for signing him just watch skysports news, his goal was quality and won the game for them, he did something that the very over rated robbie keane couldn't quite manage, put the ball in the back of the net, and from 20 yards, was a cracker.

if played in the right position in the centre of midfield healy could still do a job for us, heard he scored a similar goal in the reserves when he was still with us. Earlier on in the season he was played as a holding midfielder and it didn't quite work out, but when he played in the 5 man midfield against palace on boxing day in a more advanced role he actually played well and was unfortunate to be sacrificed due to stead's red card. I feel he has been treated rather harshly by some fans and hope he comes back from his loan a better player and proves his doubters wrong

italino - i'm seriously not going to qualify your tesco comment with a response. but to say colin healy was one of the worst players to ever wear a town shirt is frankly laughably. he played for us about five times. i'm assuming you weren't aware of him before he signed for us? that in itself of course doesn't justify him not quite making the grade here, but he is a very good player. for the price we paid it was well worth a gamble, and just like priskin, trotter and richards in recent years was not deserving of moronic, naive idiots like yourself laying into them all the time.

He'd be a decent back-up for us next season under Garvan, Leadbitter and Norris (assuming Colback won't come back, but hoping he will).

chrisswailes - I was aware of Healy a long time before he arrived here, which is why I always thought it was an odd signing. He's a skilful player, but the injuries have taken their toll over the years (less than 160 games in 12 years tells it's own story) , and he just doesn't cut it at this level. He didn't cut it at Barnsley three seasons ago, where he didn't impress enough to get a start, and he hasn't improved since. Even Bradford in League One sent him back from loan early when he was at Oakwell.

This isn't a young lad making his first steps in the League yet to reach his peak, this is a guy whose best years were spent on the treatment table because of poor challenges that had broken bones in his legs. At the bottom end of the SPL and League Two, like he proved against Shrewsbury, he'll do well because the standard is lower, but at Championship level? He's off the pace. All the skill in the world won't help if you can't get near the ball.

Cracking goal Colin! Hope your loan spell goes from strength to strength and we see you back in blue and white next season.

I apologise for any offence caused chrisswailes, I just didn't like being slagged off for voicing my opinion about a player who i feel is not good enough for us.

Having said that, his goal for Falkirk was fantastic. Let's hope he's not yet another player who seems to be able to play well for any team other than Ipswich, ala Ambrose, Fuller, Priskin etc...
