Clegg and Baxter in Suffolk's Top 100
Friday, 12th Feb 2010 13:57

Town chief executive Simon Clegg and Community Trust chief executive Terry Baxter have been named in the Suffolk 100, a list of individuals whose influence enhances and enriches the county and contributes to its business success.

Clegg said: “Since my arrival in Ipswich, I have been struck by just how influential the football club is, in terms of its impact on both business and the wider community.

“I am very pleased that the huge amount of work the club and its associated charity the Ipswich Town Community Trust undertakes has been recognised in this way.”

Also on the list are David Sheepshanks, still on the Town board and chairman of the PLC and the Community Trust, for his work with the Suffolk Foundation, and club vice-patron John Kerr for Easton Farm Park.

are there really one hundred people 'enhancing and enriching' the business success of the county? surely keane should be in there for the all the extra petrol money, train fares and hotel rooms being spent with local businesses? national journo's have been beating a regular path to suffolk ever since.

and then there's local estate agents getting business from all the player movements.

Congratulations and well done lads, you're a credit to the club and the town. It's nice to see someone is putting the club on the map. I have tears of pride.

The world is our Oyster, who know's what we can achieve next - perhaps a prize for our pies !
