For starters Delaney played better than Mcauley and LEadbitter was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and didnt get a look in.

Markeyboy - for me Edwards did stand out, although it's difficult to say whether that was in part down to us not having seen him recently. A good performance though, unlucky not to get the second goal and worthy of note. Not sure he was better than Leadbitter who played well or not, but I personally did notice Edwards more.

Credit were credit's due. Well done Gareth and Carlos, great also to see Delaney turning his season around. Mac and Delaney have been rocks in recent games [give or take the odd wobble] - Delaney's accolades will follow with the results.

Need lots more clean sheets and with competition up front to score what can go wrong? lol

Well done to Edwards and McAuley. I must agree that Delaney and Leadbitter were unlucky to miss out - but a cracking goal by Edwards probably deserved it!

Murphy played well in goal and was in many tabloid newspapers team of the week.

Just on a flipnote, don't you think it's great for a change that we are debating on who was the best player on Saturday?!

Thank god we are arguing over something positive for a change, haha!

For me best player/s were Norris and Leadbitter. I'm a bit biast but I love Norris as a footballer, just reminds me of the days of watching Stockwell/Mason/Wark. Just players that chase lost balls and win them every time and always come off the pitch covered in mud.

Cliche I know but it's what being a great football player is about for me, and that's where the game is won and lost. Great to watch players like Ronaldo/Messi/Kaka etc with their skills, but give me a game full of big tackles and a bit of grit anyday!

For me Jack Colback was the MoM, his attacking runs from midfield caused Wednesday problems all afternoon. Brian Murphy did absolutely nothing wrong in goal, caught every cross, couple of good saves and a great block low down. I also think Delaney played a stormer at CB. Walters/Daryl Murphy very quiet up front though.
