Priskin Interested in Permanent QPR Move
Priskin Interested in Permanent QPR Move
Monday, 29th Mar 2010 10:38

Striker Tamás Priskin says he would be interested in making his loan move to QPR a permanent switch in the summer. The 23-year-old scored his first goal for the Londoners on Saturday in their 2-2 draw at Preston.

Priskin, who joined the Blues from Watford for £1.7 million last summer and is contracted until 2012, says he is happy at Loftus Road and would like to stay and continue to play alongside on-loan Spurs man Adel Taarabt: “I'm really enjoying my time at QPR and delighted to be here.

“I want to score more goals for the team. Of course it would be nice to stay and play with Taarabt at this club."

The Hungarian international, who scored twice in 10 starts and nine sub appearances for Town earlier in the season, moved on loan to Rangers in January and has played eight games for the side now managed by Neil Warnock.

Meanwhile, midfielder David Norris has given his backing to underfire boss Roy Keane: "We are 100 per cent behind the manager. We realise we've let him down this season.

"But you can see how much we respect the manager, want to play for the manager and do well for the manager.

"You can only learn from him. He was some player and he does see things that he passes on to me and other midfield players.

"Teams don't get success straight away. It hasn't been a full season yet and will take a bit of time."

Thats the problem , like lazbie he has said he wants to stay where he is now. That is a statement of intent , not a nice one , which means he is history.

Yep put him alongside our great 'wide hope' Lee Evans Martin

Oh and Watford Academy guys I know could not believe we paid that money for Priskin - He was the laziest guy at the club

I reckon, of course this is just my opinion and probably won't happen, we should sell Stead, Martin, Lisbie, hate to say it but release R. Wrighty. Keep Murphy, Rosenior and keep Priskin. This gives us Pablo, Murphy, Connor and Priskin, 4 very different strikers which I think could be a good thing to have, and I haven't been impressed with Healy, but that's not not his fault as he is unfit but if we can get him fit again possibly then try and keep him aswell, however wages are an issue. I would also like to see Garvan and Leabitter given a go for now as Norris has gone back to how he was when we first brought him!

why are people sticking up for priskin? he is poor and by far keanes worst signing. he wasn't prolific for us and neither has he been prolific for QPR since he's been there, cut our loses and get rid. he didn't give a damn about playing for the shirt and thats worse than not scoring goals or playing well. he was lazy and didn't even try. wouldn't want him nack after what he's said in the this article anyway

Poor attitude. He's only been with us 5 minutes and he already wants off? He should be working his nuts off at QPR to try and win a place back in OUR first team. That's what he was bought (and is paid) for.

I agree with John_Warks_Tash the love the crowd has for Pablo - given he broke Marcus Stewart's jaw and was thereby linked to our relegation from the prem - is surprising when contrasted with the crowds attitude to Priskin. They are similar players both bloomin frustrating and talented in equal measure - yet one can do no wrong and the other no right in the crowds eyes.
It's a funny game.

Thanks Tractorog- It's been frustrating watching especially when I've stuck up for Priskin throughout the season saying to people every other week "he will come good, just give him time" and each week you see that his confidence and morale is ever slowly disappearing. He needs to put this season behind him and hope that next is more productive for him.

It doesn't matter who we have as a striker. Even Wayne Rooney wouldn't score goals for us when all we do is hoof it up the middle.

chambersm. wasnt gonna comment on this story til i saw urs. get serious, shefki kuqi?!!! while, lyk most town fans, i thought he was great 1st time he here, hes well past his best. we need 2 look 4wards, not go back 2 former heroes who no longer up 2 it. counago is proof of that, talented, but not gud enuf.

SIMEON JACKSON - WE ARE NOT PRODUCING OUR OWN - WE ADOPTED WICKHAM AND HE COULD BE A REAL DIAMOND BUT I THINK WE SHOULD LOOK AT DIV 1 SCORER - HUNGRY ... Not some has been or rejct from a prem team picking up a cheque each week

Ricky Lambert from Southampton coz I doubt they'll be going up from league 1 and he should be playing at a higher level. I agree with earlier posts regarding kuqi, he could still do a job for us and im gutted we never took him back full time. he's still capable of scoring goals but is a good physical target man and is good at what he does, also an absoloute legend

Its not strictly fair to compare Priskin settling in period with that of Pablo's. Pablo came straight from Spanish football, Priskin came from Watford where he had a lot of games (and scored a significant amount of goals). He has had more than enough time to settle to the English game.

I think he is a victim of Town's inability to provide quality service to the strikers. We have limited creativity in midfield and still do not have a decent winger who can get to the byline and cut decent crosses back into the box.

So we need a striker that is willing to chase lost causes, run down the channels and feed off the scraps that is provided.

Priskin has had a fair few 1 on 1 opportunities to score goals and has fluffed them all, playing them straight at the keeper in most cases, yet his goal for QPR looked a half decent finish, why has he not done that for us? he's hardly done himself any favours endearing himselves to the fans with his comments in this story !!!

I don't blame Priskin for wanting to stay at QPR . People skills and bringing the best out of players is one of the many skills Keane lacks !

Watford fans that i know said when we signed him that Priskin is lazy and seemed to have an attitude problem. Only when Brendan Rodgers became their boss did he start to perform for about 6 months. Sounds like another Lisbie to me and after the comments he has made above it would be best to let him go

Ok so i've watched Priskin a number of times this season, well when he was at PR and i thought he wasn't that bader player, not quite up to the speed of the games but all in all not a bad player, Although when something went wrong in his game that was it, you might as well have taken him off as it seemed to dent his comfidance.
Now that he has said that he would like to stay at QPR, that to me says that he obviously isn't up for the fight in getting his first team place here and do we really want players like that at our club who, lets be honest are happy at just picking up there wages (lisbie, Priskin,)
I would sell them at a drop of a hat, ok so we will make a loss but it's money in the kitty for Murphs deal and two less wage bills, the only one i would like to see back here is Steady!! ok not the best footballer in the world but would give his all weather he was playing right midfield or striker, even when he came off the bench he would always try.
