Roy Keane has dismissed reports linking him with the vacant manager’s job at his former club Celtic. The Blues boss says he is settled in the area, having recently bought a house in Woodbridge.

Keane said: “My new house is nearly ready and I’m focused on my job here. It’s dangerous to even comment on other jobs, but I’m very happy here, my family are, we’re moving into a new house.

“I’ve got staff who have moved to the area, they have committed with their families. I came here to do a job and I’m determined to do it and, please God, I get that opportunity.

“There have been ups and downs, and there have obviously been more downs than ups, so we’ve got to reverse that next year.

“We’ve got big plans for next year, I want us to be competing and I want us to be competing in the top six, but we need strengthening and I’ll know much more over the next few days where we stand on that.”

Keane says the only time you’ll see him in Glasgow will be to watch a game: “I’d be very surprised if you saw me walking through Celtic Park. I might get there in a few weeks to watch the Old Firm, but that’s about it.”

Good news. It would be a mistake having yet another change of manager. Give Roy next season and see how it goes. People have short memories - most on here were crying for Jim t be given more time - despite achieving little in THREE YEARS. Roy's had one year. He deserves another - that's just my opinion though.

RK has made it clear he wants to stay at ITFC not just for him to prove himself as a manager but loyalty to his staff. RK is very much a man of his words and an honest guy. Celtic are in a mickey mouse league whereas ITFC have the potential to get in to the best league in the world so why would he want to go into Scottish football which to be honest is a joke league? RK will bring the good days back to Portman Road so please, EVERY TRUE supporter get behind him and his players and lets hope this time next year we will be crowing over the caneries as we head into the premier league.
