Trotter and Millwall Draw at Huddersfield
Trotter and Millwall Draw at Huddersfield
Saturday, 15th May 2010 18:09

On-loan midfielder Liam Trotter helped his Millwall side to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their play-off semi-final at Huddersfield this afternoon. The sides meet again at the Den on Tuesday.

Former Blue Scott Barron was twice denied a penalty, the first when his shot was handled by Peter Clarke and the second when the same defender tripped him inside the area. Ex-Town men Jordan Rhodes and Gary Roberts were in action for the Terriers.

If Millwall make to Wembley Trotter, who has been offered a new one-year deal by Town, will play in the League One final for the second year running, having helped Scunthorpe into the Championship a year ago, coincidentally by beating Millwall.

I thought Trotter was good - not outstanding, but he was involved in the game, passed the ball well and was back defending whenever he was needed. But Scott Baron was something of a revelation left/centre midfield. Always getting forward and earned two good penalty shouts. Good to see him doing well.

Blueknight85.....Trotter clearly had a good game and broke the majority of Huddersfield attacks with ease. What the hell do people want from this boy!!! Rhodes is def a danger but didn't get that crucial touch when it mattered. Baron looked quality. Roberts anonymous in my opinion.
