Kennedy Confirms Town Move Complete
Wednesday, 28th Jul 2010 14:59

Former Ireland international Mark Kennedy has confirmed that he has completed his £75,000 move from Cardiff to the Blues and may play in tonight's friendly at Bury Town.

The left-back said: "I want to keep playing at the highest level possible for as long as I can. The Championship is a great league and this move will help me do that.

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cardiff. I would tell any player thinking about joing Cardiff to snap their hand off. It's a great club, with fantastic fans and an excellent manager."

The 34-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the club.

Welcome aboard! Hopefully adding some strength and experience to that LB position, helping bring on Shane O'Connor.

Welcome aboard!

I think we have left-back covered now with Kennedy and O'Connor; I also think (although I'm probably alone in this) that we have right-back covered with Peters and Edwards - both of whom have more pace and offer more going forward than D. Wright did...

Welcome Mark. I think this could be a decent signing and help as much on the pitch as off it with the young crop coming through. McAuley is a good leader at the back and an experienced player around him or an outlet will be invaluable.

A good signing. Well done Roy!

A slight moan - why can Ipswich and Clegg not announce these things ina timely manner? Is Clegg still away and if so why?
