Good News on Leadbitter Injury
Good News on Leadbitter Injury
Thursday, 19th Aug 2010 09:29

Town have received some rare good news on the injury front with midfielder Grant Leadbitter’s ankle injury not as serious as first feared. The former Sunderland man is a doubt ahead of Saturday’s game at Crystal Palace, but has not chipped an ankle bone as was first thought.

The 24-year-old picked up the knock in a tackle with Burnley’s Clarke Carlisle shortly before the break last weekend and was on crutches after the match. The Blues reported no other new injuries from Saturday’s game.

Meanwhile, former Town striker David Lowe, 44, has joined the coaching staff at Tranmere Rovers.

Excellent - at last some news to be excited about... Feared it could be a repeat of Norris last season, maybe on area we dont have to strengthen immediately!!

Keane would still be able to cut it in the championship but for his hips.....

Hooray!! This is great news as Leadbitter and Norris are playing great together and Grant Leadbitter is generally a legend. SIGN A STRIKER THAT SCORES GOALS PLEASE. -Seeing as this was priority number one all last season and now all this summer.....

Anyone know what the latest news on Civelli is? I know he twisted his knee in the Leiston match but have heard no further updates?

Get over Garvan TATDs - lovely passer but a luxury player who has never had the right mentality to consistently compete well at this level

Keane is inexperienced and we will pay for that in part but he is learning fast and will be a top manager - hopefully with ITFC

Garvan !!!!! he was not a bit aggressive, would never get stuck in , he thought having one or two silky moves in his drawer was enough, Leadbitter is passionate and aggressive, motivates people around him, will always give 110% sometimes Garvan looked disinterested. Keano a crap manager, how do you reckon that one, nobody was going to take that job a year ago and do any better than he has done, it took him a year to get it to his standard and already the signs of that are there, commitment, passion, high tempo, nice football, good team moral, dead wood gone, working hard on new sigings.... so these arent the days, take your dark clouds and jump back under the duvet, because you seem a depressing man !!!!

Yep - looks like Pablo is off - I wonder how much of his massive wage packet we will be picking up? 50%? Still - better to only pay half as he is clearly not in favour.

That's good, but a progress report from the club on Wickham would be good. Also what about Civelli? Nothing since RK said it would only be 10 days to a fortnight...

TATD. I'm afraid you have a very negative opinion of our beloved club. Garvan promised much and delivered little, Walters is a decent player and worth at most half of what Stoke have paid. Leadbitter is a great Championship midfielder and exactly the sort who can get us out of this division, and along with Chuck I think forms one of the top 3 midfield pairings in the division.
Tell me, do you have any positive thoughts on the club? I'd love to hear them, seeing as this is a page for supporters.

Great news, he's a rock in our midfield, how people can say Garvan is better than Leadbitter is beyond me!!

A big relief! Leadbitter is absolutely class. Anyone that would prefer Garvan clearly has not been to any matches in the past couple of seasons or has some relation the man or is just very anti-Keane. This is exactly the type of player necessary for a promotion push hope he gets better asap.
