Town’s U18s grabbed their first point of the season after a drawing their opening home fixture 2-2 with Leeds on Saturday morning.

Aaron Jones opened the scoring for Mike Pejic's men with a header from a Sam Brandon corner in the first half.

After the break, the visitors scored twice in two minutes shortly after the hour mark, both from set pieces, but Canadian U17 international striker Caolan Lavery (pictured) netted an equaliser from the spot having been brought down.

Town striker Connor Wickham, currently out with an ankle injury, was amongst those watching at Playford Road.

Former Blues full-back Neil Thompson is the academy manager at Leeds and stayed on in Suffolk to watch Saturday’s first team victory over Bristol City.
