Wright Not on Trial With Earthquakes
Wright Not on Trial With Earthquakes

Former Town defender Frank Yallop has dismissed claims that released Blues keeper Richard Wright is on trial with his San Jose Earthquakes side. Head coach Yallop, who played alongside Wright during the 32-year-old’s early years with Town, says the keeper is merely training with the MLS club.

The Earthquakes’ official website has confirmed that Wright is with Yallop’s squad but says there is nothing in reports earlier in the week claiming that the former England man is looking to win a contract.

Meanwhile, ex-Town striker Adam Proudlock, 29, is on trial with Blue Square North side AFC Telford United.

Surely he has a few more years left. I thought that he would have found another club by now.

He's not without a club based on talent so must be the wage demand which ratifies keane's decision to let go.

Wage demands to high, must lower his sights. Still a long way to go for training. thought Palace was far enough ????

Hope someone's told Wrighty he's not on a trial. You don't fly half way across the world just to keep fit

I hope now people who slated Keane for let him go can now see he has made the Wright (sorry) decision. If Richard was that good he would have been snapped up by now.
Wish him the best as he always gave his best and played a major part in helping get the club in the Prem. One of Ipswich's better keepers. Cooper still the best we had.

People are saying that the USA is a long way to go for training, but this is Richard Wright we're talking about, the man who left a starting position at a high-flying Premier League club (Ipswich, at the time), to go and sit on the bench for 6 years at a few other clubs, simply for the money.

He's training in America because he's after a free holiday.

Blue92 - truer words have never been said, Iblame him and Jonathan Barnett(agent) as much as Finidi and the likes for us not staying in the Premiership!
