Moore Joins Derby

Reported Town target Luke Moore has joined Derby on a 29-day emergency loan. The West Brom man has been linked with the Blues on a number of occasions in recent weeks having been left out of the Baggies’ 25-man Premier League squad.

Moore came on as a late sub for the Rams in Saturday's 5-0 drubbing of Crystal Palace. The striker’s team-mate Joe Mattock was also claimed to be on his way to Portman Road, however, a left-back is one of the areas of the squad where Town are well covered, with Darren O’Dea, Mark Kennedy and Damien Delaney over their injuries and Shane O’Connor also not far from a return to action.

Meanwhile, released keeper Richard Wright has confirmed that he spoke to Crystal Palace and Hull regarding potential moves in the summer before agreeing his four-month spell at Sheffield United.

Wright, 32, is pleased to have the chance to play games again: “All I want is to be with a club where I have the chance of first team involvement, and I know I shall be given that opportunity at Bramall Lane.

“It was disappointing not to get another opportunity at Ipswich, even though I understand how things work in football.

“But it was frustrating because, being a local lad, I was desperate to do well for Ipswich. Sadly, it wasn’t to be. All I want to do now is play as much as I can for Sheffield United.”

I got the impression from the statement made by Keane that there were some bad eggs in the squad that he let go. He mentioned that Garvan and Stead weren't the players concerned but he didn't mention the likes of D Wright Counago etc so thats where I got it from. I must say you're a fine one to talk about stupid comments.

ChambersM - what an absolute prat. David Wright always used to pop up with goals did he? Might want to look at his goals record for us before you make such stupid remarks. 5 goals in 4 seasons is good for a solid full back, but it's hardly free scoring stuff is it? Stop moaning, we didn't even sign Luke Moore which is what you are moaning about amongst other things. It was all paper talk anyway, so get over it. SUPPORT the team, stop being strung along by false media rumours along with a blatant dislike of Keane. 4th in the league, last 16 of the league cup (a League 2 side stand in the way of us and a quarter final), excellent unbeaten away record at present (when poor away form over the years has cost us dearly), there's a lot to be upbeat about. Pity some people on here don't have any faith in our young players doing a good job

Chambers, 'We should have kept Counago' and you say I make stupid comments. Have a look at his goalscoring record over the course of his career, it works out at about 1 goal every 5 games. A terrible record for a striker, and how many has he scored for Palace? MUPPET.
