Livermore Could Extend Town Stay
Livermore Could Extend Town Stay
Thursday, 30th Sep 2010 17:54

New loanee Jake Livermore says he could extend his spell with the Blues beyond January depending on how the first few months of his time at Town develop. Livermore made his debut as a sub at Reading on Tuesday and could make his first start in Saturday’s game against Leeds with fellow midfielders Luke Hyam and David Norris suspended.

Livermore told the club site: "I've come here for game time and to help the team will matches. Having the opportunity to work under the manager was another big appeal for me and I'm enjoying it.

"I have played in the Championship before when on loan at Derby and Peterborough and it's a tough league, but it's an exciting one as well and I'm looking forward to playing as many games as possible here.

"I'm here until January but if everything goes well and both parties are happy, then I'd like to stay longer and do well for the team."

The 20-year-old says he’s looking forward to getting more involved: "I've been keeping fit and playing games in-house back at Spurs. The fitness coach here is brilliant, we've been working on it. Yes, I'm ready to go."

So Livermore starting on Saturday. Red card aside, i thought Norris has looked tired last couple of games - suspension will do him good.

I agree peter morris, Norris looks a bit like he's run himself out of
steam !! He deserves the break but I'm sure he won't see it like that. With the international break as well he should be well rested and hopefully come
back with that early season form!!!

Hope he makes a good impression in the first few months of the loan spell. He nearly scored with his first touch against Reading.

I did put in my Scunthorpe match report that Norris needed to get his impending suspension over with as his form had suffered since he's been on 4 bookings.
Bad timing to collect his 5th when Hyam got sent off.
Reminder to myself ... be careful what you wish for!

well hope luke plays and does well pehaps he may be the missing link in midfield which might create them killer passes to our front men, which to be fair hasnt happened this year at all,
and on the norris booking why on earth he didnt go for a booking late on against cardiff i never know as he could have had his suspension against millwall in the cup match and started again with a clean sheet, i know i soudnt say that but think about it as he was out for the millwall match any how so we wouldnt have lost nothing, but think the rest will do him good, just hope we can 1 win on sat and 2 bag more than 2 goals in the process

Big Foot, I'm terribly sorry - Norris got a yellow didn't he....... but he looked tired and on his way to a second at Reading IMO etc. Sorry - too many Stella's....

As much as I like Andros Townsend's quick feet and the Minutes that Big Jake Livermore gave on tuesday - I still think that Harry Redknapp is trying to sweeten up Keano and the Ipswich Town faithful for a possible Wickham deal -

Listen up 'arry! GET LOST!

Big game for Jake tomorrow, Leeds are hurt and will not be looking for any repeat performance from mid week. to Loose after being 4-1 up at Home! Players started showboating and all wanted to score a wonder goal. There's been a lot of crisis management at Leeds this week on what went wrong - they'll come back strong and the Midfield is going to be key to 3 points on Saturday.

Good Luck Jake, make a name and make a place.

agree with many on here, Norris has been off form since he got his fourth yellow, probably phycological. Anyways we have all often said too that Leadbitter and Norris are too much alike lets see if this makes a differance???? if not there is always Jamie Peters, other than in Goal think he has pretty much covered each of the positions :-)
