O'Dea Confirmed in Irish Squad Thursday, 30th Sep 2010 18:02 On-loan defender Darren O’Dea has been confirmed in the Republic of Ireland squad for their Euro 2012 qualifiers against Russia and Slovakia during the international week which follows the Leeds game. The 23-year-old, who according to reports in Scotland today has said he could make his move from Celtic permanent in January, was named in the 26-man provisional squad earlier in the month and has now made the final party. Giovanni Trapattoni’s men take on Russia at home on October 8th and Slovakia away on October 12th. O’Dea, who has previously won two full caps, missed out Ireland’s victories over Armenia and Andorra in their opening two qualifiers due to a knee injury.
